How we choose
The standard
- One pick, not five. Where a product matters we name one. If two are genuinely close we say so and say why.
- Essential means essential. Every list separates what you need from what's nice to have, and ends with what you can skip.
- Comparisons, not adjectives. Gear guides lead with a table of what's actually different, and we say who each pick is for.
- Nobody pays for placement. Brands can't buy a spot on a list, and we don't accept free products in exchange for coverage.
- We update. Every page shows when it was last reviewed. If a pick is discontinued or a better one appears, the page changes.
Affiliate disclosure
The Crib Book is supported by affiliate links. When you buy through a link on this site we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We also participate in other retailer programs. Commissions never influence which products we recommend, and we link to products we'd name whether or not a program existed.
Safety
Nothing here is medical advice. For safe sleep, car seats and anything involving your baby's health, follow your pediatrician and the manufacturer's instructions over anything on this site.
